Welcome to the National Industrial Skills Training Centre, a specialised business division of Wodonga Institute of TAFE.

At The National Industrial Skills Training Centre, we have established clear advantages over our competitors through our commitment to remaining a customer orientated organisation. Our reputation as one of the most respected industrial training and licensing organisations within Australia has been built on providing consistent excellence in customer service, responding directly to the demands of industry and our clients, and through fostering long term relationships and partnerships with our suppliers, our clients and industry.

Our innovative training programs are developed and delivered by highly qualified and experienced staff, direct from industry, with a genuine commitment to remaining up to date in their field of expertise. Using state of the art machinery and equipment, we strive to deliver our programs in realistic learning environments to minimise the difference between training and the workplace.

Training is accredited to both State and National standards, and the specific needs of the industry, expanding the participant’s knowledge and skills to enable them to work more efficiently, effectively and safely.

The National Industrial Skills Training Centre attracts more than 7,000 participants each year to training ranging in duration from one day to three weeks, with Diploma level and traineeships also offered in specified areas. Participants include people aspiring to enter industry, people wanting to update qualifications to meet regulatory requirements, or those up-skilling to meet new workplace needs.

We currently offer training in the following areas:

  • Chainsaw and Forest Harvesting

  • Motorcycle and Heavy Vehicle licensing

  • Warehousing, Distribution and Logistics

  • Materials handling

  • Building and Civil Construction

  • Traffic Control

  • OHS Induction for the Construction Industry

  • National Industrial licensing

  • National Plant licensing

In addition, we also offer training needs analysis for you and your staff to assist with design and development of training programs, tailored to suit your workplace requirements.

At the National Industrial Skills Training Centre all of our training is delivered at a time and a place to suit you.

The National Industrial Skills Training Centre maintains Quality Accreditation against AS/NZ ISO 9001:2000
